Equipment Guide/
The mandatory pieces of equipment are/
- Hat
- Baseball glove
- Jock strap for boys, jill for girls
- Baseball cleats or athletic shoes
- Certified batting helmet
- Certified baseball bat (consult the BQ rulebook before buying)
NOTE/ Decathlon bats are not certified and are forbidden
OPTIONAL PIECES OF EQUIPMENT INCLUDE/
- Batting gloves (optional, but recommended)
- Any form of baseball-specific padding for batters (ie: Elbow or ankle guards)
- A chin piece for the certified batting helmet is optional, but strongly recommended
- Sliding mitts are allowed, but are strongly discouraged unless your player is sliding head-first, which is legal, but not taught or encouraged at the A- or B-levels
